Vol. 13 No. 16 (2026): Learner Centered Learning LCL 2026
This special issue of the ESS Journal presents selected proceedings from the 5th International Workshop on Learner-Centered Learning (LCL 2026), held from 16–18 September 2026 at the Open Education Institute of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST), Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
LCL 2026 was successfully organized as a hybrid event through the collaboration of the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU), Philippines; Chemnitz University of Technology (CUT), Germany; Citi University, Mongolia; and Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, with support from the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM).
The workshop attracted 38 paper submissions from researchers and practitioners worldwide. Following a rigorous double-blind peer-review process, 15 papers were selected for presentation at LCL 2026. The EasyChair platform was utilized to manage the submission and review processes, ensuring an efficient and transparent evaluation procedure.
